On January 14, 2018, Textile and Garment Embroidery Knitting Association in Ho Chi Minh City (Agtek) organized the Ceremony of the Textile and Apparel Industry Ancestor Worship Anniversary for the business community in the southern region at Van Thanh Tourist Area in Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the Ceremony, there were delegates including the members of textile garment enterprises and the representatives of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group, Department of Industry and Trade and departments of the City, partner organizations, and close customers.

With the tradition of drinking water to remember the source and the heart of honoring the morality, the businesses and entrepreneurs of the textile and apparel industry commemorate and respectfully offer incense and gratitude to the predecessors who have found, built, cultivated and propagated the textile garment industry until this day.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, Mr. Pham Xuan Hong – Chairman of Agtek stated the meaning of the Anniversary and congratulated members, businessmen and delegates on the occasion of preparing for the new year of 2019. Mr. Hong said, although there are many difficulties and challenges in 2018, the enterprises in textile garment industry maintain a belief, continuous efforts, with supporting and helping of the ancestors, the members in the industry have overcome these challenges, contributed part of stabilizing production, exceeding the industry’s targets in 2018. Delegates and businessmen attending the ceremony offered incense to express their will to continue that good tradition, to work together, stronger links and cooperation to grow together. Thereby, creating conditions for building the stronger Association, supporting more practical members, contributing to the sustainable development of each business and Vietnam textile garment industry.

At the Ceremony, the Ministry of Industry and Trade leader also gave the speech to congratulate the Association and the textile and garment enterprises have done performance effectively in 2018, hoping that businesses in the industry exchanges, coordinates and connects closely together to take advantages from CPTPP and EVFTA free trade agreements to reap much success in 2019.

As a member that actively participates in the activities of Agtek Association, Ms. Phan Thi Hue – Chairman of the Board of Directors and the representatives of Thanh Cong Textile and Garment Company also attended the Ceremony, burned incense, participated the music performance and wish the Company will achieve good business results in New Year 2019.
