THANH CONG COMPANY JOINS HANDS TO SUPPORT 300 MILLION VND FOR PREVENTION OF COVID 19 EPIDEMIC AND OVERCOME DROUGHT, SALINE INTRUSIION IN PROVINES OF MEKONG DELTA

2020 is forecast to be an unfavorable year for the world economy in general and Vietnam in particular. Since the beginning of the year, the country has faced many difficulties due to the widespread Covid 19 epidemic, affecting the lives of the people and causing many damages to businesses and the country economy. Drought, saline intrusion in provinces of the Mekong Delta has caused damages for thousand hundreds of hectares of rice and crops, leaving millions of people in the region the shortage of fresh water.

In the past time, the global epidemic caused economic recession, Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment Trading JSC was also affected and faced with many difficulties due to the shortage of orders. As a labor-intensive textile garment enterprise, right from the early days when the disease broke out in Vietnam, the Board of Directors of the Company actively took measures to handle and respond promptly to ensure both the prevention of epidemics effectively, and maintain jobs and stable incomes for all officials and employees. This is a great challenge for the Board of Directors and all employees of the Company.

Although facing many difficulties and challenges, responded to the call of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Viet Nam Red Cross Association to support the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic and to support the people damaged by drought, salt water intrusion, with the spirit of solidarity and love each other, good leaves protect torn leaves and join hands with the whole country to fight against epidemics, overcome natural disasters so that no one will be left behind. On April 27, 2020, the Company has also donated VND 300 million from contribution of the leaders and the employees to support for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee through HCM Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) to carry out social works, foster the frontline medical doctors in the field of epidemic prevention, support to people affected by drought, saltwater intrusion in the Mekong Delta provinces and partially support for homeless people and lost their jobs due to the Covid 19 disease. Attending the donated ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nang – Head of the Board and representatives of Hepza, Mrs. Phan Thi Hue – Chairman of the Company, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan – Secretary of the Party Committee, President of Trade Union, Director of Human Resources and members of Thanh Cong Company Trade Union Trade.

For past many years, in addition to focusing on investing in production and business activities, the social responsibility program for the community has always been concerned by the Board of Directors and employees of the Company and considered it as an integrated activity associated with the sustainable development of the Company. The Board of Directors and all employees of the Company strive to join hands with the whole country to overcome this difficult period.
