THANH CONG TEXTILE GARMENT INVESTMENT TRADING JSC HONORED TO ACHIEVE 2024 HO CHI MINH CITY GOLDEN BRAND AWARD

On the evening of January 3, the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Award honored 29 enterprises with brands that achieved the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Award – 2024. This is an award directed by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade and Saigon Economic Magazine are the organizing units.

Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment Trading JSC is honored to be in the Top 29 enterprises achieving the award this year and is the enterprise that has won this award for 3 consecutive times since the award was organized.

Attending the award ceremony, there were Mr. Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City; Jury Council and award-winning enterprises.

This year, with the theme “Innovation and Sustainability”, the city continues to honor outstanding enterprises those have overcome many strict criteria to win this prestigious award. To achieve the 5th “Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand” in 2024, the enterprises must meet a series of criteria such as transparency and compliance with the law, business ethics, human resources policies, business performance, management system and brand coverage, quality and safety, etc., especially emphasizing innovation, green transformation, and digital transformation, ESG of enterprises.

After 48 years of establishment and development, Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment and Trading JSC’s products are high appreciated by customers in Vietnam and exported to 4 continents, more than 40 markets in the world with over 100 brands, major fashion customers in the world. To achieve the goals of vision, mission and core values, the Company always focuses on corporate governance, improving management capacity, applying advanced management tools in operating and managing the Company. Focus on investing and applying green transformation, digital transformation as well as investing in implementing ESG in the production and business activities of the Enterprise through specific action target programs including:

+ Regarding products: Since 2015, the Company has focused on investing in research & business development (R&BD), focusing on developing outstanding sustainable product lines from recycled and natural materials towards being environmentally friendly, cost-saving, shortening delivery time, meeting the increasing demands of customers. The R&D products that the Company researches and develops are highly applied and brought to the market and bring practical business efficiency. Total revenue for recycled products in the 4 years 2020-2023 reached more than 1.4 million products, revenue from recycled products reached 10.5 million USD.

+ Regarding fashion design & branding: The company invests in self-designing according to customer needs & building its own fashion brand. Gradually replacing and shifting the FOB (Customer Design) export method to ODM (Company Design) & participating more deeply in the value chain.

+ Combining textile & garment fashion production & technology, digital transformation, creating a textile garment & fashion business platform that can provide all textile & garment solutions to partners and customers in Vietnam and around the world.

+ Investing in upgrading and applying digital transformation in most production and business activities through a comprehensive new version of the ERP system to control costs and optimize operating processes; gradually applying smart sewing lines, applying digitalization in production and business activities at factories.

+ Regarding the environment: The company focuses on reducing emissions to the environment in the most optimal way through specific and practical action programs such as installing solar energy systems in some factories with suitable conditions and designs to save electricity and reduce electricity costs, meeting the requirements on emissions and sustainable development. Using bio-mass fuel to gradually replace coal in factories, using modern water treatment systems, reusing water, raising awareness of saving electricity and water and protecting the environment among the Company’s staff…

+ Corporate governance: Improving management capacity, increasing transparency and compliance in governance activities, applying advanced management tools in corporate governance as well as promoting risk management in business activities.

+ Accelerating the speed and expanding investment in production and business based on competitive advantages in closed production chains, prices, tariff incentives, delivery times, green transformation, digital transformation… compared to businesses in the same industry.

+ Promoting activities to care for jobs, improve income and life for workers through specific action programs, prioritizing training and human resource development, especially focusing on developing successor human resources. Promote investment in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities inside and outside the enterprise in parallel with the Company’s production and business activities, aiming at sustainable development.

+ At 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand Festival, Thanh Cong Textile Garment Company Investment Trading JSC and other award-winning enterprises this year have booths to display products according to the requirements of the program’s Organizing Committee to introduce products to visitors at the event.

According to Mr. Phan Van Mai – Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the “Golden Brand” award is not only a recognition of the achievements that businesses have achieved but also a motivation for businesses to continue to innovate, enhance brand value and reach further. Ho Chi Minh City Golden Brand businesses will be pioneers, confident and dynamic units with the City to develop sustainably. The City commits to continue to accompany and support businesses, creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese brands to grow stronger and compete successfully in the international arena.

The 2024 Golden Brand enterprises are enterprises with leading brands in many typical fields and industries such as: mechanics, consumer goods manufacturing, garment, food processing, services… In the past year, the award-winning enterprises had a total revenue of more than 258 trillion VND, creating jobs for more than 93 thousand workers, contributing nearly 11,000 billion VND to the state budget.
