THANH CONG ERP GO LIVE CEREMONY ‘!
“ERP Go Live Ceremony” just took place on July 12, 2024, marking a meaningful milestone for Thanh Cong’s development. This is an important turning point in technology and the starting point for the company’s comprehensive digital transformation process.
Opening the ceremony, Mr. Trần Như Tùng, DGD, shared:
“Currently, the global textile and garment industry faces unprecedented challenges, significantly different from those of 5 or 10 years ago. Fierce global competition not only affects Vietnam but also impacts Thành Công. Everything now extends beyond product quantity and quality to include lead time management, making production speed critically important.
Labor issues are also noteworthy, with Vietnam recently raising regional minimum wages starting July 1st, thereby increasing production costs. Post-COVID-19, we’ve seen a rise in smaller, more diverse orders. Furthermore, there’s a growing emphasis on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) requirements and sustainable development, including raw material traceability.
I emphasize these changes to underscore the necessity for adaptation and self-evolution. Without these, growth will be unattainable. In particular, Thanh Cong is a listed enterprise on the stock exchange, so growth is even more important. Investors assess not only current revenues but also future growth potential, intensifying the stakes.
For Thanh Cong to transform itself sustainably and strongly, we need to conduct digital transformation. Currently, the company is investing in an ERP system and recognizes that this is part of the comprehensive digital transformation process that we need to undertake. Ten years ago, we built an ERP system, but what we did is no longer suitable for today’s technology and market requirements. Therefore, we have cooperated with World Fashion Exchange (WFX) to develop a new, more technologically advanced system that integrates more functions.
Achieving ERP perfection from inception is challenging; thus, we’ll incrementally test and upgrade the system to better suit the company’s future needs. Initially, ERP will improve customer connectivity, facilitating easier interactions and orders, reducing intermediary costs, and monitoring delivery progress. This enhances customer experience, with numerous clients expected to connect via Thành Công’s ERP, exemplified by E-land.
Thus, if we don’t adapt, we risk losing in the marketplace. ERP marks Thành Công’s starting point for change. I believe that by leveraging this system effectively, Thành Công will lead the textile and garment industry in the near future.”

To show respect for WFX for their valuable and enthusiastic support during the ERP system development process, Thanh Cong presented special gifts to their three representatives, Mr. Sammy,Mr. Hari and Mr. Sayam.
At the ceremony, members of the ERP & IT Department were also honored for their tireless contributions over the past time, helping the system take shape and go into operation.
The most important part of the program, Mr. Song Jae Ho – CEO, Mr. Tran Nhu Tung – DGD, Mr. Pham Ba Khanh Nhat – Head of IT & ERP, Mr. Sammy – WFX representative together performed the cake cutting ceremony to officially launch Thanh Cong’s ERP system.
Sharing the message at the event, Mr. Song Jae Ho, General Director emphasized:
“In the 19th century, the First and Second Industrial Revolutions led to the establishment of factories and production lines, marking the inception of the manufacturing industry. In the 1980s, the internet appeared and created a new impetus in all areas of production. By 2007, the iPhone revolutionized our lives completely. Before the iPhone, many good mobile phone brands existed, with Nokia dominating the market. However, since the iPhone’s introduction, Nokia has disappered. It’s fair to say that the iPhone has transformed today’s technology ecosystem.
In the first half of 2024, Samsung achieved its highest-ever profits. Nevertheless, they initiated an emergency management system, indicating they perceive a crisis and need a big leap. Why is that so? Nvidia has entered the market and now dominates the world with artificial intelligence (AI). While Samsung remains at the forefront of manufacturing, Nvidia has begun to dominate the world through AI.
So let’s think about Thành Công—where are we on the industry development map? Are we at the early stages of the Industrial Revolution, or are we advancing new technologies?
I want to share with all employees what I want Thanh Cong to become. I hope everyone will join me on the upcoming ship to shape the future in new ways.
I aim to elevate the company to a new level within the next 5 years. My dream is to transform Thành Công into a platform for textile, garment, and fashion businesses. We won’t just be a factory taking orders and producing goods; but will become a platform where anyone in the world who wants to come to create garments and fashion products can be met. That’s the company I aspire to build with all employees. So, if you’re willing to join me in driving change, every door of opportunity is wide open. But for those who prefer to stay in the old industrial era, we cannot move forward together.
In the first six months, we focused on product quality and waste reduction.
Moving forward, in the remaining six months, we need to focus on speed. This is crucial for our survival and competitiveness in this era.
Finally, in terms of R&D to create and design new fabric products, the company has hired designers and established an ODM department. This means we not only fulfill orders but also provide new designs to our customers.
Think about how iPhone and Nvidia changed the world—dare to think differently, dare to change, and dare to dream. I believe that if we all strive together, we will surely succeed.”
