TCM IS HONORED TO RECEIVE THE “TOP 50 CSA 2024 AWARD” IN THE CATEGORY – CIRCULAR ECONOMY
The TOP 50 CSA 2024 award ceremony took place on August 2, including 16 categories honoring 3 business sectors: FDI, listed enterprises and unlisted enterprises. The evaluation board includes leaders from HSBC, PwC Vietnam, Institute for Circular Economy Development (ICED), Schneider Electric Vietnam, Talentnet, Mekong Capital. Thanh Cong Textile Garment Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, a listed enterprise (HOSE: TCM), is proud to be honored in the list of “Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises (Top50 CSA)” organized by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine. This is the second consecutive year that TCM has been honored in the Top 50 CSA in the category – Circular Economy.
Aiming towards the goal of Net zeo carbon by 2050 that the Vietnamese government has committed and joining hands to contribute to the greening of the textile and garment industry, TCM always strives to practice ESG comprehensively, ensuring compliance and ESG practices not only within the company but also in the supply chain and partnerships, aiming at the harmony of sustainable interests between the three main pillars: economy, society and environment, as well as between corporate profits (Profit), people (People) and the planet (Planet). TCM identifies that ESG is a choice and a persistent and steadfast marathon and at the same time an inevitable trend. TCM’s long-term benefit is the brand image of a global textile and garment enterprise and a leading enterprise in the textile and garment industry in Vietnam. With the motto of constantly innovating and developing to keep up with market demand along with domestic and international fashion trends, aiming at a circular economy and sustainable development of the textile and garment industry, TCM has been gradually concretizing its action goals in its production and business activities based on the 3R principle: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Over the years, TCM has continuously promoted the efficient use of resources, reuse and closed production cycles with the aim of reducing input materials and energy, using natural materials and recycled materials. Eliminate substances that are harmful to humans and the environment, make that information transparent in the production chain, extend the life cycle of textile and garment products through changes in design, product use, sales policies, and gradually eliminate fast fashion. Use energy and renewable resources more effectively, minimize waste generation and reduce negative impacts on the environment. TCM continuously pursues the goal of greening. Constantly improving the quality of each product made, all activities of the Company always aim for diversity and sustainable development.
